HBL PSL V Match 3: Multan Sultans beat Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets with 23 balls remaining
Match 3 of the PSL season V was played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars. Both the teams introduced the new captains with Shaan Masood leading Multan side and Sohail Akhter leading Lahore side.
Multan Sultans won the toss and invited the home team Lahore Qalandars to bat first at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore. Lahore starts off well but the spinners controlled the openers and wickets continued to fell that created difficulties for the home side and they were only able to score 138 for the loss of 8 wickets in the 20 overs.
In the reply, Multan Sultans achieved the target quite easily without any trouble in the 16th over. Multan won the match with 5 wickets in the hand and 23 balls remaining in the innings.
For his brilliant performance with the ball (2/21 in 4 overs), Player of the match award was given to the Imran Tahir.
