The 2nd Match of HBL PSL V was played between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi. Peshawar won the toss and elected to bowl first. Karachi Kings batting first started off quite well and put a mammoth total of 201 runs for loss of 5 wickets. Babar Azam played an innings of 78 runs of 56 runs. Karachi 's captain all rounder Imad also scored a half century of 30 balls.
Peshawar Hassan Ali managed to take 2 wickets for 52 runs and Mohammad Mohsin took a single wicket.
Zalmi batting 2nd started well but due to loss of two wickets in a succession by Jordan, they lost their top order batsman. Kamran Akmal was playing well when he bowled out by Deport for 43 runs. Liam living stone made 54 runs and kept Peshawar in the match. The match was turned to Peshawar Zalmi in last few overs but they could manage to score in the final over and eventually lost by narrow margin of 10 runs.
For match winning performance Babar Azam was the Player of the Match.
