Malaysian women celebrated independence on Mountain Karakorum


Arifeh Hassan has become the 1st Malaysian Muslim young lady to climb into a mountain Karakorum to celebrate their country independence.

Arifeh hassan wanted to climb mountains yet proved unable, because of Malaysia's difficult territory.Her aspiration made her come to Pakistan as it was the closest country.

Arifeh said about Pakistan:

"Pakistan is an incredible nation rich in nourishment and social differing qualities," 

Najeeb Khan was also Arifeh’s partner during the journey to Karakorum peak.

Both the climbers had taken preparing through the Shimshal Mountaineering School. They were prepared by none other than the renowned salvage master and mountain climber Shaheen Baig. They effectively finished the training course.


Both the climbers pursued the challenges of 5,200m high peak of Shifktin Sar situated in Shimshal valley of Hunza-Gojal.
