In Continuation of previous letters on the subject regarding fool proof security arrangements in all school (Public/ Private) & observance of SOPs for A+ and A category of Public & Private Schools. In view of prevailing security threat, is reiterated to ensure fool proof security measures at all schools (Pubho / Private).  You are also required to immediately issue instructions that no morning assembly, prayer and gathering for any purpose be held m open places/ halls. However, class wise morning assembly/ prayer may be conducted in class rooms. For ready reference. following SOPs for A+ and A category, Public & Private Schools are again shared to be obsewed in letter and spirit to avoid any outward situation
Main Points:
• Raising of boundary walls • installation of Barbed wire./Razor Wire • Deployment of Chowkidar/Security Guards • Installation and functioning of CCTV Cameras • Availability of Metal Detectors • Daily Sweeping of School Premises • Proper vigilance around the school boundary • School employees guarding the gates through-out the school hours • On, one gate to be used in routine (others to be used only in emergency • Movement register to be maintained at the gate • Display of important contact numbers in the principal office. classrooms. staffrooms etc. • Safety of drinking water reservoirs • Staggered exit of students at the time of closing of school • Conduct of morning assembly only in classrooms for the time being • Training / Awareness Sessions / Mock Exercise conducted by 1122. Civil Defense etc • School Specific SOPS for Emergency • Designated Police Mobile for School • Security Clearance of School Premises. Residents and Canteen workers by Special Branch (only where relevant) • Purchase of SIMs *55# for distress call

It is further directed to ensure audit of security measures as per SOPs for A+ and A category of Public & Private Schools; Please disseminate directions at all levels for strict compliance.
