He is a co-creator of super heavy element 117. Hevesy Medal is an international award named after George de Hevesy, the 1943- Chemistry Nobel Laureate.

F Akash is India's first indigenously designed, developed and produced air defence surface-to-air missile system has recently been inducted into the Indian Army. The missile, having a maximum range of 25 kilometers, can neutralise targets at a maximum altitude of 20 kilometers. An Air Force variant of Akash has already been inducted.

F The solar powered single-seater aircraft, Solar Impulse-2 is presently on a journey around the earth. The aircraft is made of carbon fiber. It took off from Abu Dhabi on March 9th marking the start of the first attempt to fly around the world without a drop of fuel. The aircraft landed in two Indian cities, Ahmadabad and Varanasi. It is scheduled to return to Abu Dhabi in August.
