Upcoming news and current affairs channel Neo TV took to Facebook to announce that the channel will be on air from May 15.
The channel will hit the air waves today(15th May) at 07:00p.m.
The channel is a part of Nai Baat media group which produces an Urdu daily named ‘Nai Baat’. According to the channel's website,
“Neo Television is the embodiment of Pakistan. We will do our utmost to ensure honest deliverance of news and impartial, non-biased information on national and international issues of interest and importance. It is Neo Television’s promise to the nation that it is committed to forging new frontiers in journalism through following superior standards and ethics of the new media landscape and consistently innovating ourselves in the way we deliver news.”
While the channel claims to be impartial they do have a clear agenda - they claim to be the country's "ideological defense line in fighting the war of propaganda."
Although, the news channel market seems saturated, the new offering promises to provide audience with impartial and unbiased information.
Earlier in March, film maker and CEO of Neo TV Shahzad Nawaz revealed the channel’s logo. The logo has three colours blue, green (both borrowed from Nai Baaat) and red.
