Job description
Fishgate Advertising is looking for a capable senior web designer, with a proven track record of five years+ experience, to conceptualise and design trailblazing solutions for the digital environment. The designer will work closely with a team under the direction of the creative director to determine the direction of digital projects and to ensure that ideas are implemented to the highest standards. Agency experience is advantageous. A portfolio showcasing web design and multimedia experience is essential.
Responsibility/job outline
• Be involved with projects from conceptualisation through to client approval
• Ensure that the highest creative/design standards are maintained
• Work together with (and support) project lead across all projects, and become an integral part of the team/assist the team of designers to deliver the best possible work
• Guide junior designers and supervise quality of work
• Ensure that deadlines and client requirements for projects are met
• Assist when needed in client pitches/presentations
• Ability to liaise with members of the technical team
Requirements
• Excellent knowledge of Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver
• An understanding of digital platforms: web and microsites, digital media (banners), mobile and apps
• Relevant design qualification
• Good understanding of user navigation
Advantageous
• An understanding of WordPress would be of value
• An understanding of HTML and CSS

• Strong work ethic
• Able to work independently
• Well organised with good time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Good at taking briefs and understanding clients' needs
