Job description
The Hardy Boys is a Durban based but internationally active Brand-Centric, channel neutral, multidisciplinary creative consultancy. Its purpose is to find answers to brand and client problems or opportunities using strategic, creative and campaign management capabilities.
The company is searching for a dynamic Debtors/Creditors Clerk to work in their highly capable Finance Department.
Responsibilities
• Manage of all Debtors invoicing and processing of statements to Clients at month-end, as well as controlling the ageing of outstanding payments and calling of Clients to recover amounts overdue.
• Processing of all Creditor invoices on Chase Operating System as well as the overhead expenses on Pastel Software to ensure timeous delivery and payment
• Processing and reconciliation of all cash book entries and processing all online payments to suppliers for Cube Integrated Brand Management and THB Outpost.
• Manage the Petty Cash diligently, whereby each and every entry is taken into account and allocated correctly, and reconciled at month-end to coincide with the company's ledger account.
• Collate all company credit card expenses; to process and reconcile to the banking statement of the company, and maintain a balanced ledger account monthly.
• Liaising with various departments on outstanding invoices and other miscellaneous issues.
• Collating and reporting of staff deductions to the Payroll Administrator.
Minimum requirements
• Minimum of three to five years' experience as a Creditors/Debtors Controller in a recognized Advertising Agency or from the Service Industry
Post graduate degree or National Diploma in Accounting (or similar)
• Experience of having worked on Pastel Software
• Intermediate MS Outlook, Word and Excel experience is essential, with exposure to the Chase system as an added advantage
• Must practice confidentiality, transparency and good financial ethics at all times
