Recognized as an industry leader in providing sophisticated and user-friendly web-based revenue cycle solutions, VitalWare has an immediate opening for a Director of Outpatient Coding & Chargemaster Services (OCCS). You may be the ideal candidate for this position if you possess an in-depth understanding of Medicare’s Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) for hospitals and have an above-average working knowledge of hospital chargemaster maintenance and outpatient coding and billing. Primary responsibilities of this position include a combination of innovative collaboration with other VitalWare teams (e.g., Product Management, Development, Content Management, Customer Service) and some hands-on production work, such as researching and responding to outpatient coding and billing questions submitted by VitalWare’s customers. The selected candidate may work remotely or from the Company’s home office in Yakima, Washington; however, relocation is NOT required and travel requirements are minimal.
Job Requirements
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Eight (8) or more years of experience in a position requiring OPPS, chargemaster and/or outpatient coding and billing expertise;
•Advanced computer skills including internet research and use of MS Office products;
•Ability to work independently or as a team member;
•Above-average written and verbal communication skills; and
•Willingness to wear more than one hat while contributing to Company growth.
Preference will be given to candidates with management or consulting experience related to hospital outpatient revenue cycle.
