Aga Khan health service, Pakistan (AKHS, P), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN)is a not-for-profit company operating in Pakistan to provide primary and secondary health care to less-privileged populations. Working in Gilgit/Baltistan, Chitral, other parts of KP, Punjab, Karachi and rural southern Sindh. AKHS, P operates 129 primary health care facilities, mainly family health’s centres and material and child health centres, together with seven small secondary units in the north of Pakistan. AKHS, P employs over 1000 medical and professional support staff countrywide. AKHS, P is collaborating as an implementing partner with international donors and the government of Pakistan through public private partnerships (PPP) to improve the health of communities. At a time of great change and with many exciting initiative and ambitions for the future, AKHS, P provides a uniquely challenging work environment. AKHS P is part of the AKDN Network working with AKUH in integrated health systems, with Aga Khan Foundation and Aga Khan Planning and Building service to build a stronger health sector in Pakistan.
The Position
The Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) invites applications for the following position at its Gilgit/Baltistan (GB) and Chitral region.
General Surgeon
The incumbent will be responsible to provide curative surgical care to the community and will be responsible to carry out general surgeries, manage surgical emergencies and provide post-operative care to the patients.
Candidates must have FCPS/ FRCS, MBBS degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience with skills in laparoscopic surgeries.
