Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya confers degrees to JK students of Aryans
Chandigarh: Aryans Group of Colleges (AGCs), Rajpura, near Chandigarh Wednesday held its 11th Convocation in Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chandigarh.

A statement from the AGCs said that Governor Haryana, Bandaru Dattatraya was the Chief Guest while Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IAS, Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh, Director Public Instructions (DPI), Colleges, Punjab; Mohammad Haroun Malik, KAS, Special Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, Jammu and Kashmir and Prof. (Dr.) Gurvinder Pal Singh Brar, Registrar, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Punjab Technical University, Bathinda were the guests of honour.

Dr.AnshuKataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. The students from various programs including Engineering, Law, Management, B.Ed, Agriculture, BBA, BCA etc were conferred degrees. The convocation ceremony started with the Lamp Lighting ceremony followed by a welcome prayer. On the occasion, 130 toppers students of Aryans were awarded with the degrees & medals.

Governor, Haryana in his convocation address while congratulating the students said it’s great that Aryans students don’t run for marks but they prove themselves through innovations and they strive to become job givers instead of job seekers.

Aryans is among those Colleges which is doing a good job in the overall development of its students. He congratulated the management of Aryans which was started with just 100 students and 1 College and now is imparting quality education to over 4000 students in 8 Colleges including Engineering, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy Degree, Education, Paramedical etc.

The governor also called for community-led participatory actions from the young graduates to keep up with the challenges of the changing times and also understand that an individual's prospects are correlated with that of the community. Thus, besides gaining skills and knowledge, it is essential to cultivate social social consciousness, he asserted. “The process of learning in life does not end, but from today is the beginning of new education and achieving new goals,” said Dattatraya.

Rajeev Gupta, Secretary, PSBTE & IT said that it is not merely convocation but a new beginning for another challenging life. This is the day of accomplishment for students, parents as well as teachers. More than the degrees, I am sure, the knowledge and the values you imbibed here, will guide you wherever destiny will take you, he said.

Mohammad Haroun Malik, Special Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department said that students of today are the founders of tomorrow’s nation. We need to bring down the strong boundaries that we have put on the students to help them grow in their desired field in an innovative manner, he said.

Dr.Gurinder Pal Singh, Registrar, MRSPTU said that I must mention that convocations are historical moments in the life of the students and we should always stay connected to our roots and respect our mother land and mother tongue. “The new education policy is employment-oriented. Therefore, all the students should take a pledge to become job creators after completing their education, only then the country will progress,” he said while addressing the students.

Dr.Anshu Kataria while congratulating the students said that it’s a proud moment for Aryans to add these young talents for the progress of the Society.
