Malabar Military Exercise 2021: The armies of India, America, Japan, and Australia are starting a joint military exercise in the Pacific Ocean from 26 August. This joint exercise, named Malabar 21, will run from 26 August to 29 August, in which all the four countries of the Quadrilateral Dialogue or Quad will be involved.

This military exercise is being considered very important against the aggressive policies of China. The Indian Navy issued a statement on Wednesday, saying that the aim of this exercise is to establish a common understanding of maritime security among the participating countries.
Two warships, INS Shivalik and INS Kadmat, a P-81 aircraft and Marine Commandos (MARCOS) of the Navy will participate in the Malabar military exercise this year. Destroyers, warships, corvettes, submarines, helicopters, long-range maritime patrol aircraft will be demonstrated in this exercise by the navies of the four quad countries. Apart from this, special forces including US Navy SEALs and Marcos of the Indian Navy will also be a part of this military exercise.
The Malabar joint exercise started in 1992, after which cooperation between the navies of India and the US increased rapidly. In 2007, Japan, Singapore, and Australia were also added to this joint exercise by expanding its scope, but due to Chinese opposition, the matter could not progress much further. Eventually, Japan became a part of it in the year 2015 and Australia also joined back in 2020.
भारत, अमेरिका, जापान और ऑस्ट्रेलिया की सेनाएं 26 अगस्त से प्रशांत महासागर में संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास शुरू हो रहा है| मालाबार 21 के नाम से यह संयुक्त युद्धाभ्यास 26 अगस्त से 29 अगस्त तक चलेगा, जिसमें क्वॉड्रिलेट्रल डायलॉग या क्वॉड के सभी चारों देश शामिल होंगे|
क्वॉड देश पिछले साल पहली इस सैन्य अभ्यास में जुटे थे।| यह मालाबार नौसैन्य अभ्यास का 25वां संस्करण है| चीन की आक्रामक नीतियों के खिलाफ इस सैन्य अभ्यास को काफी अहम माना जा रहा है| भारतीय नौसेना ने बुधवार को बयान जारी कर बताया कि इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य इसमें हिस्सा लेने वाले देशों के बीच समुद्री सुरक्षा को लेकर सामान्य समझ स्थापित करना है|
इस साल दो युद्धपोत, आईएनएस शिवालिस और आईएनएस कदमत, एक पी-81 एयरक्राफ्ट और नेवी के मरीन कमांडो (MARCOS) मालाबार सैन्य अभ्यास में शामिल होंगे| चारों क्वॉड देशों की नौसेनाओं के इस अभ्यास में डेस्ट्रॉयरस्, युद्धपोत, कॉर्वेट, पनडुब्बी, हेलीकॉप्टर, लंबी दूरी के समुद्री गश्ती विमानों का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा| इसके अलावा यूएस नेवी सील और भारतीय नौसेना के मार्कोस सहित स्पेशल फोर्सेज भी इस सैन्य अभ्यास का हिस्सा बनेंगी|
साल 1992 में मालाबार संयुक्त अभ्यास की शुरुआत हुई जिसके बाद भारत और अमेरिका की नौसेनाओं के बीच सहयोग तेजी से बढ़ा| 2007 में इसका दायरा बढ़ा कर जापान, सिंगापुर, और ऑस्ट्रेलिया को भी इस संयुक्त अभ्यास में जोड़ा गया लेकिन चीनी विरोध के चलते बात ज्यादा आगे बढ़ नहीं पाई| आखिरकार वर्ष 2015 में जापान इसका हिस्सा बना और 2020 में ऑस्ट्रेलिया भी वापस जुड़ गया|
