The work of the smog tower being installed at a cost of Rs 20 crore has been completed. Which will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on 23 August.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is going to inaugurate the country's first smog tower on Baba Kharak Singh Marg at Connaught Place on 23 August 2021. It is setting up smog towers as a pilot project to purify the polluted air. The smog tower will clean 1,000 cubic meters of air every second and help reduce PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels in Delhi.
Scientists from Delhi Pollution Control Committee will accordingly assess the performance of the tower and submit a monthly report. The smog tower will function in full force after the monsoon season.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai today visited and inspected the construction site of the country's first smog tower being installed at Connaught Place, Baba Kharak Singh Marg. During this, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the Delhi government under the leadership of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is working continuously against pollution inside Delhi with full seriousness.
मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल 23 अगस्त 2021 को कनॉट प्लेस स्थित बाबा खड़क सिंह मार्ग पर देश के पहले स्मॉग टावर का उद्घाटन करने जा रहे है| प्रदूषित हवा को शुद्ध करने के लिए पायलट परियोजना के तौर पर यह स्मॉग टावर लगा रही है| स्मॉग टॉवर हर सेकेंड में 1,000 क्यूबिक मीटर हवा को साफ करेगा और दिल्ली में पीएम 2.5 और पीएम 10 के स्तर को कम करने मे मदद करेगा|
दिल्ली प्रदूषण नियंत्रण समिति के वैज्ञानिक तदनुसार टावर के प्रदर्शन का आकलन करेंगे और एक मासिक रिपोर्ट पेश करेंगे| मॉनसून सीजन के बाद स्मॉग टावर पूरी ताकत से कार्य करेगा|
दिल्ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने आज बाबा खड़क सिंह मार्ग स्थित कनॉट प्लेस में लगाए जा रहे देश के पहले स्मॉग टावर के निर्माण स्थल का दौरा कर निरीक्षण किया। इस दौरान पर्यावरण मंत्री गोपाल राय ने कहा कि दिल्ली के अंदर प्रदूषण के खिलाफ मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के नेतृत्व में दिल्ली सरकार पूरी गंभीरता के साथ लगातार काम कर रही है।
