HBL PSL V, Match 28: Karachi Kings beat Islamabad United by 4 wickets
Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first
Islamabad United opened with two new openers as both Munro and Ronchi left PSL due to Corona Virus Outbreak. The new openers however gave a good start but other batsmen did not add any big runs. Hussain Talat scored 37 runs off 30 balls and Salt scored 25 off 19. Islamabad United posted a total of 136-6 in 20 overs.
In reply to the low total, Karachi Kings openers gave the destructive start scoring quick 20 runs in first over, taking the game away from Islamabad right from the start. Sharjeel Khan made 37 off 14 balls while Imad Wasim made 26 runs. Karachi chase the target in 20th over with 4 wickets in hand, qualifying for the semi-finals. Islamabad is out of the tournament after this loss.
Player of Match was awarded to Sharjeel Khan for scoring 37 off 14 balls.
