HBL PSL V, Match 24: Lahore Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi by 5 wickets
Match 24: Lahore Qalandars won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Peshawar Zalmi came to bat but the first three wickets fall quickly and put Peshawar Zalmi under pressure. At this stage, Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali took the responsibility and played brilliantly adding 100+ partnership for fourth wicket. Both add 62 and 69 off 43 balls respectively. This partnership took peshawar zalmi to a total of 187 for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets giving only 28 runs in his 4 over spell.
In the second innings, Lahore Qalandars batted well. Openers provided 50 runs stand for the first wicket. Fakhar and Chris Lynn put a good partnership and made the target easily chase-able. Chris Lynn scored 59 off 32 balls and Fakhar Zaman scored 63 off 46 balls. In the end, Lahore won the match by 5 wickets. Carlos Brathwaite took 3 wickets.
For match wining performance, Fakhar Zaman was the player of the match.
