HBL PSL V Match 7: Islamabad United beat Lahore Qalandars by 1 wicket
Islamabad United won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first Lahore Qalandars opening batsmen played well. Then the wickets fell down quickly. But the experience of Hafeez saved the batting side as he scored 98 runs not out. Wiese also contributed some quick runs and helped the scoreboard to the total of 182-6 after 20 overs.
In the reply, Islamabad opening pair got out cheaply in the first two overs. Then Captain Shadab Khan promoted himself to number 4 and played a brilliant innings for quick half century but eventually got out by Haris Rauf. After that score was made by the batsmen but wickets also fell down after short intervals. But after the nail-biting contest Islamabad United won the match by 1 wicket.
Player of the Match Award was given to Shadab Khan for his brilliant all-round performance.
