The increase in the price of the sugar will not be tolerated at any cost there is no shortage of sugar in the province. The authorities are already directed to control the price issue of the sugar and take the necessary actions for this. CM Usman Buzdar, today in Lahore said that Punjab Government is pursuing the policy for providing the people with maximum relief and no one will be allowed to jack-up the prices.
Sugar that is very important ingredient of Pakistani cuisine has shown the increase of price Rs 10 per kg in past week. It is almost difficult for a common man to buy the sugar. Due to this condition and also the shortage and increased prices of the flour, there is uncertainty between the people about the rising prices and the shortage issues. Meanwhile, industry sources have claimed that hoarding of the commodity and speculation trade have triggered the hike in sugar price in the country.
