It is notified that the vice chancellor in exercise of the powers vested in him under section 15(3) of the University of the Punjab Act 1973 and in anticipation of approval of the syndicate has been pleased to approve the recommendations of the controller of examinations for amendment in the following regulation regarding totally failed candidates of BA/ BSc Part-I and Part-II examinations. this will be effective from supplementary examinations 2017.

Existing Regulation:

Provided further that a candidate who fails in two subjects be placed in compartment and be allowed to appear in the supplementary examination. The candidate is eligible to pass the failing subjects in next three consecutive chances.

Amended Regulation:

Provided further that a candidate who fails in two subjects be placed in compartment and be allowed to appear in the supplementary examination. The candidate is eligible to pass the failing subjects in next three consecutive chances.
Provided further that totally failed candidates who have appeared in annual examination can appear in the supplementary examination in all subjects.
