Restoration of Three Advance Increments to Teachers of Punjab as per Decision of the Court

Civil petition No. 23-L 2014 on appeal from the order dated 20-10-2013 of the Lahore High court Multan bench passed in WP No. 4676/2004 in the Supreme court of Pakistan.

Restoration of Three Advance Increments to Teachers of Punjab as per Decision of the Court

Appellate Jurisdiction
Present:
Mr. Justice Sh. Azmar Saeed
 Mr. Justice  Ijaz Ul Ehsan
The Government of the Punjab through its secretary Finance department Lahore etc are petitioners and Rashida Javaid is Respondent. Additional AG Mr. Muhammad Arif Raja is for petiioners and not for respondent.
Date of Hearing 05-07-2017.
Order  Justice Sh. Azmar Saeed : Apparently the respondent was granted three advance increments on the basis of acquiring additional educational qualification. Subsequently the said increments were withdrawn by the petitioners which action was challenged by the respondent before the learned high court and the impugned order dated 30-10-2013 was passed in the favout of the respondent.
The learned additional advocate general Punjab has vehemently canvassed the point of view of his client and unfortunately, we are unable to see any legal infirmity to warrant interference with the impugned order.
Consequently this civil petition being without substance is dismissed and leave declined.
