1. Rein: नियंत्रण 

Control, command, monitoring, curb, check
Example: With an effort, she reined back her impatience.



2. Daunting: कठिन 

Seeming difficult to deal with in prospect; intimidating, formidable, disconcerting, unnerving
Example: This is a daunting task.

3. Reckon: अनुमान लगाना 

Expect to do a particular thing; expect, anticipate, hope to, be looking to
Example: I reckon to get away by two-thirty.

4. Stave off: किसी बुरी चीज़ को स्वयं से दूर रखना 

Avert or delay something bad or dangerous; delay, preclude, prevent, counter
Example: Oh God! Stave the danger off from my family.

5. Stint: कंजूसी करना 

Restrict (someone) in the amount of something, especially money, given or permitted
Example: You shouldn’t stint on giving money to the beggar.

6. Ramp up: जुटाना/बढ़ाना 

Bolster, strengthen
Example: We are carefully ramping up our capacity and in six months we will start with two shifts operations.

7. Ferry: ढोना 

Transport by boat or aircraft; haul, carrying, carry, haulage, transportation
Example: A group of street children runs after trucks and tractor trailers ferrying innumerable crates of tomatoes to Narayangaon market in Pune.

8. Trash: कूडा करकट 

Waste material; refuse, rubbish
Example: The subway entrance was blocked with trash.

9. Harrowing: खौफ़नाक 

Acutely distressing
Example: Survivors reveal harrowing details of Paris attacks.

10. Bare: अल्प 

Surprisingly small in number or amount; mere, simple, sheer, very basic
Example: All you need to get started with this program is a bare 10K bytes of memory.

11. Hardship: कष्ट/दुःख 

Severe suffering or privation; poverty, destitution
Example: I cannot think it a hardship that more indulgence is allowed to men than to women.

12. Pestilence: महामारी 

A fatal epidemic disease, especially bubonic plague
Example: Tuberculosis is a pestilence.

13. Perishable: बिगडनेवाला/नश्वर 

(Especially of food) likely to decay or go bad quickly; liable to rot, easily spoilt, decomposable, biodegradable
Example: Pickle is perishable when it is kept without the acid.

14. Perishable: जरुरत से ज्यादा पूर्ति करना 

An excessively abundant supply of something; surplus, excess, surfeit, superfluity
Example: The market is glutted with consumer durables.

15. Susceptible: आसानी से प्रभावित होने वाला 

Easily influenced by feelings or emotions; sensitive, impressionable, credulous, gullible, innocent
Example: Pooja Bhatt agrees that being the daughter of an alcoholic makes you more susceptible to be an alcoholic.

16. Mite: घुन 

Wood worm
Example: I found some mites in the packet of flour.

17. Respite: विराम/आराम 

A short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant; rest, break, interval, intermission
Example: The refugee encampments will provide some respite from the suffering.

18. Assuage: शांत करना 

Satisfy (an appetite or desire); fulfil, gratify, appease, indulge
Example: An opportunity occurred to assuage her desire for knowledge.

19. Lachrymose: शोकपूर्ण 

Tearful or given to weeping; crying 
Example: It was a lachrymose response of losing candidate.

20. Explicitly: स्पष्टता से 

In a clear and detailed manner, leaving no room for confusion or doubt
Example: We were explicitly forbidden to enter the military area.
