The instant case pertains to Health Professional Allowance for Nurses of Balochistan requested by Balochistan Nurses Action Committee on the pattern of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Government of Punjab.Availability of trained and skilled human resources for the functioning of any health facility especiaaly at the primary and secondary level. The periphery and districts in Balochistan other than capital city of Quetta where shortage of staff nurses. The DHQ Hospitals have very less number of staff nurses. In order to retrieve this issue of shortage of staff Nurses in periphery as well as the grant better incentives to the staff nurses to avoid brain drain of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Government of Punjab has granted Health Professional Allowance to their staff nurses which needs to be implemented in Balochistan so that the provision of healt professionals is assured across the province and delivery of better health care services are provided to all the people of the province across the board.
Foregoing in view the health department requests that honorable chief minister Balochistan may kindly sanction/ grant health professional allowance to the staff nurses BPS-16 and Head Nurses BPS-17 @ rate of Rs.12000/- per month for staff nurses, head nurses working in Quetta (Category A) and Rs.20000/- per month for staff nurses, head nurses working in periphery (category B).
