Notification of Scholarship Programs for the Children of NTDC Employees
The board of directors NTDCL in its 118th meeting held on 13-01-2017 against agenda item 17 has approved the following NTDC scholarship scheme for the children of NTDC Employees.
Scholarship scheme: National Transmission & Despatch Company Limited offers financial assistance by the way of scholarship programs to the talented and meritorious children of serving/retired/ deceased employees persuing their studies at primary, middle, matric, intermediate, Graduate and post graduate and above levels.
Salient Features:
Eligible Employees: One child of serving employee and two children of widow and invalided employee of NTDC are eligible for the above scholarship.
Intermediate Course: Intermediate in science, Economics and commerce, diploma of associate engineering from any polytechnic institute. Computer Science and information technology from a reputed and recognized institutions.
Graduation Course: Graduation in science, Economics, Business, commerce, technical education, Public Administration, Information technology, medicine & engineering from a reputed and recognized institutions.
Post Graduation & above Course: Post Graduation & above Course in science, Economics, Business, commerce, technical education, Public Administration, Information technology, medicine & engineering from a reputed and recognized institutions.
Prescribed Institutions: Scholarships for graduation /post graduation courses will be awarded only to the students who take admission either in a public sector educational institution or in any private sector educational institution classified in category “W” or “x” by the Higher Education Comission HEC, Government of Pakistan from time to time.
Amount for Scholarships:
For Needy/ Deserving: For one child of serving employee and two children of widow and invalided low paid employee of BPS-01 to BPS-11 who are needy/ deserving and also talented and brilliant (securing 60% and above marks).
For Talented /Brilliant Students: For one child of serving employee and two children of widow and invalided employee of BPS-01 to BPS-20 who are talented and brilliant (securing 60% and above marks) in their studies as per following rates.

For Position Holders:
scholarship programs for brilliant children (students) of NTDC employees of financial assistance one time on obtaining any of first three positions in a region competing all position holders among themselves of each category in addition to routine monthly scholarship on getting admission in next course on the following rates,

Eligibility:
For Needy/ Deserving: One child of serving employee and two children of widow and invalided employee on passing the class provided they are not in receipt of scholarship from any other institution or the Government candidates who have passed “A” and “O’” level examinations under the Cambridge system are also eligible for this scheme as per equivalency.
For Talented /Brilliant Students: Scholarship programs will be awarded to one child of serving employee and two children of widow and invalided employee who secured A+ or A grades or have obtained at least 80 % marks in school/ college /university examination provided they are not in receipt of scholarship from any other institution or the Government candidates who have passed “A” and “O’” level examinations under the Cambridge system are also eligible for this scheme as per equivalency.
For Position Holders: Scholarship programs will be considered in five regions for this purpose. Four GSO regions with all offices situated in that region and head office will be 5th region. Scholarship will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd position holders of board university examination at each region from each category i.e. Matric, Intermediate, Graduation, Post graduation in each region on the basis of merit (%age of marks)
Admissibility Withdrawal: The Scholarship will be granted to the students who will get admission in next course and will continue during the studies (except for graduation /post graduation studies).
Application Procedure: Interested employees of NTDC or their spouse (in case of deceased employee) whose children meat the above mentioned eligibility criteria of the scholarship may apply to their concerned offices within three months after getting admission in next class.
