Reporting to the IT Supervisor, Development & Reporting, the Applications Business Analyst will be responsible for working with internal customers to gather and document business and functional requirements for projects, creating high-quality functional design specifications, defining and implementing solutions that meet the needs of the user community. Working primarily with but not limited to Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Verdazo, Synergy 4, and Excel VBA technology, you will participate in the delivery of publishing, collaboration and solution capabilities. System administration and governance of user access and report security is also a component of this role. |

Job Description | - Direct liaison with the user community to gather, document, and prioritize reporting application maintenance and development work delivered primarily by Application Business Analyst(s)
- Solution delivery services both as an individual and as a team member. Services include identifying needs, developing, influencing and implementing proposals
- Working in partnership with the enterprise architecture team to design and implement solutions per agreed upon architecture specifications
- Resolve end user solution & application issues and document resolution
- Engage, monitor and collaborate with external vendor consultants for work on complex projects
- Work with external vendors and internal teams (technical & business) to develop, test & implement upgrades & changes in accordance with governance policies
- Ensure adequate level of testing and documentation in accordance to the governance policy has been completed during outage/upgrade testing
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze high-level business requirements, and create/utilize high-level scope definitions that include estimates for time, work efforts, staffing profiles, and timelines
- Provide documentation for training and sustainment purposes for out-of-the-box features and applications
- Coordinate with internal and external development resources to deliver design and functional requirements, develop test plans, create end-user documentation and conduct training relating to advanced solutions
- Support local, field and entity users with their owned reports & solutions including setting up report schedules, assisting in maintaining template files, input file and output files
- Work closely with assigned Project Manager from the Project Management Office on larger projects
- System administrative duties such as user access, report access, governance documentation and policies, bug identification and fixes with external vendor, upgrade scheduling and testing and system maintenance
- Support the evolution of the team’s Development & Reporting delivery capability from a functional and technical perspective

Required Qualification Deadline Date For Apply | - A minimum 5-10 years of experience in a Technical role with strong Business Analyst knowledge
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas (business processes & accounting knowledge)
- Advanced Experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- Working Experience with Excel VBA
- Crystal Reports & Business Objects
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Strong troubleshooting skills and enthusiasm to learn and support new technologies and processes
- Ability to build rapport with team members and business users.
