SARGODHA: The University of Sargodha (UoS) has announced the consequences of BA/BSc first yearly examination 2016.
As per the outcomes reported by Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, rustic applicants got the majority of the positions, while young ladies appeared to have performed superior to anything young men.
The aggregate number of applicants showing up in the examinations was 28,119 out of which 11,241 were proclaimed fruitful. The rate of passing applicants was 40.06pc. In the BA examination, 19,413 applicants showed up out of which 6,887 with the rate of fruitful hopefuls being 35.52pc. In the BSc examination, 8,706 competitors showed up out of which 4,354 were proclaimed fruitful; the passing rate stayed 50.23pc. The quantity of young ladies sitting the exams was 16,333, while 11,786 were young men.
Asma Kausar secured the general first position in the BA/BSc examination with 671 imprints.
In the BA exam, Nasir Rafique, an understudy of Government Postgraduate College, Bhakkar secured 641 checks and stood first; Kiran Iqbal of Superior College, Bhalwal got 634 stamps and got the second position; while the third position was shared between Iqra Younas of Millat College, Jhang and private applicant from Sargodha Ume Ruqayya with 612 imprints.
In the BSc exam, Asma Kausar of the Government College for Women, Kallur Kot secured the main position with 671 imprints, Iqra Mubeen of Punjab College of Science, Sargodha stood second with 655 imprints and Punjab College of Science Jauharabad understudy Rabia Aftab secured 654 stamps and stood third.
UoS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zahoorul Hassan Dogar granted money prizes of Rs30,000 to the main position holder, Rs20,000 to second and Rs10,000 to third other than shields and legitimacy testaments.
