Kakori train robbery took place on 9 August 1925 in Uttar Pradesh during the Indian Independence Movement against the British Indian Government.
The robbery was organised by the Hindustan Republican Association.
Robbery was executed by Ramprasad Bismil, Ashfaqull Khan, Rajendra Lahiri, Thakur Roshan Singh, Shachindra Nath Bakshi, Chandrasekhar Azad, Keshab Chakravarti, Banwari Lal, Mukundi Lal & Mammanthan Gupta.
One passenger was killed by an accidental shot, making it a murder case.
They looted approximately 8,000 Rupees.
40 people were arrested from all over the India.
Bismil, Roshan Singh, Rajendra Nath Lahiri and Ashfaqullah Khan were given death sentence.
Shachindra Nath Bakshi and Shachindra Nath Sanyal were sent to Kalapani.
