Join Pak Army as an Armed Forces Nursing Service: AFNS 2016
Pakistan Army has announced commission course for the Armed Forces Nurses in Medical Core of Armed forces such as Combined Military Hospitals - CMH and Pakistan Navy Hospitals etc. The following are eligibility and criteria for it;
1. Qualification:
For AFNS also known as BSc Nursing, the candidates must have passed their Metric in Science with 60% or above marks and after it F.Sc in Pre-Medical achieving 50% or greater marks, however those candidates who have passed their Part-I exam with 50% or above marks and have given the Part-II examination and their result is yet not announced can also apply but they have to bring a Surety Certificate from their institution head also known as Hope Certificate.
The candidates for the posts of Trained Nurse must have diploma in Midwifery and Nursing and have B.Sc Nursing. The candidate must have register with the Pakistan Nursing Council PNC. The candidates having higher courses like ICU, CCU and OT etc. will be given preference.
2. Age:
The candidates for AFNS will have age from 17 to 25 years on December 31, 2016.
The candidates for Trained Nurse must have age between 18 to 28 years on November 30, 2016.
3. Marital Status:
The candidate must have female with marital status as married or unmarried.
4. Physical Status:
The candidates have minimum height of 5 feet or 152 cm and weight according to the Body Mass Index.
5. Ineligibility Conditions:
The following candidates are not eligible hence they not need to apply;
- Candidate Twice rejected or Not Recommended from ISSB
- Declared as Medical Unfit by Appeal Medical Board
- Dismissed or Withdrawn from any armed force or their training academies
- Dismissed or removed from any government service
- Convicted by court in any moral turpitude
- candidates already register with Pakistan Nursing Council are not eligible for B.Sc Nursing Course
6. Registration:
Registration can be done online through internet from August 08 to September 02, 2016. Candidates can also registered by visiting the nearer selection center.

7. Initial Test:
The Initial Test will be held from September 07 to September 23, 2016 at the selected Recruiting Centers. The initial test will be computer based and will be comprised of Intelligence Tests as well as general knowledge etc. the passed candidates will go proceed and the other will qualify to home.
8. Initial Medical:
The candidates who passed the initial medical will undergo medical check up at the selection/recruitment centers.
9. Next Stages of Selection:
Medically fit candidates will undergo interview at selection center ater which they will be called for Detailed interview at Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi for which they will be informed through call letters and after which the final selection list will be made by General Head Quarter.
10. Training:
The selected candidates of B.Sc Nursing will undergo 4 years training in Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute (AFPGMI) Rawalpindi or any CMH from Lahore, Karachi, Khrian, Multan, Quetta or PNS Shifa Karachi.
The candidates selected for the commission of Trained Nurse will undergo 4 weeks basic military training at AFPGMI Rawalpindi.
After the successful training the candidates will be given the Lieutenant rank.
11. Required Documents:
The following documents are required from the candidates at the selection centers on the test day;
- Original Certificates and Marks Sheets DMC along with the two set of photocopies which have attested.
- Government Servants will render No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their concerned departments.
- Attested photocopy of Domicile.
- Original and photocopies of NIC.
- 3 colored passport size photos which must have attested on both front and back sides.
- 100 Rupees test fee.
12. Bond:
Those candidates who are finally selected will have sign a bond that they will serve the Army for minimum period of 10 years. The bond have to sign before the training.
