QUALIFICATION:
The required qualification is MBBS or equivalent from an institute which is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council [PMDC]. Candidates qualified from Govt Institutes will get preference.AGE:
The minimum required age is 28 year which can be extended if a candidate has better qualification or experience, the age will be calculated up-to November 1, 2016. The relaxation is to be granted upon the Selection Board recommendation.GENDER AND MARITAL STATUS:
The required gender is Male candidates who are married or unmarried.PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
The candidates must have minimum 162.5 cm height and the weight according to the Body Mass Index.INELIGIBILITY:
The Ineligibility conditions are same as for the other course however the candidates twice rejected by ISSB can apply. The candidates rejected by ISSB or Selection Board of any Armed Force for a higher qualification post can not apply as the are not eligible, this means that candidate has only one chance in case of Higher Education Post.SCHEDULE:
The registration process will remain from July 25, 2016 to August 17, 2016. This period also includes the holidays. The Test will be conducted at August 25 and 26, 2016. The Initial Test includes professional Test and intelligence tests. The test pattern is multiple choice questions.SELECTION SYSTEM:
The selection system includes the following stages, try to understand it better;- First of all Initial Tests is conducted which is also known as Screening Test, this will include the MCQs of Professional Subjects as well intelligence and IQ tests. The test is conducted on Computer. The passed candidates are qualified to the next stages and the failed are qualified to the Home.
- The Initial Medical Check up is carried out at the Selection Center and similarly only the fit candidates go next.
- The qualified candidates are interviewed by a Selection Board of General Head Quarter which is to be held at Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi.
- The qualified candidates undergo Final and Detailed Medical Check Up at nearer Military Hospitals.
- Finally fitted candidates are passed through merit system in which the candidates overall performance is checked.
TRAINING:
The selected candidates are given 6 months military training at Abbotabad after which they are promoted as a Captain in Pakistan Army.Note: The candidates have to sign a bond that they will serve the minimum period of 5 years for GDMOs and 2 years for PTC. The candidates having double or more nationalities must surrender the other nationalities.
