Ahmad Ali Butt requests to remove his name from LSA Best Actor category

Lux Style Awards recently revealed the nominations and created quite a stir by allegedly making some glaring mistakes - nominating Sohai Ali Abro in Best Supporting actress category, ignoring Mera Naam Yousuf Hai and so on.
But it looks like Ahmed Ali Butt doesn't like accepting things silently. He recently took to Facebook to request the jury members to remove his name from the Best Male Actor category.

Butt was nominated alongside Sarmad Khoosat (Manto), Humayun Saeed (JPNA), Adnan Sarwar (Shah) and Hameed Sheikh (Moor) in the Best Actor category for JPNA. Earlier, Butt had won the Best Supporting Actor Male award at the ARY film Awards and we were expecting him to be nominated in the supporting category this time round too, but LSA's jury thought otherwise.
The move surprised many and the man in question couldn't contain the surprise any longer so he thanked the jury and clarified that he "believed his role in the movie was of a supporting actor and not the main lead".

Butt further added, "I have officially requested the team and the respected jury members at Lux Style Awards to look into this matter and move my nomination in the appropriate category of Best Supporting Actor.”

LSA's media in charge, Farishtey Aslam, while talking to The Express Tribune explained:

“I haven’t seen the email but I have heard that he has approached the jury. A committee reviews all the nominations after they have been announced anyway. So, if there has been any mistake, it will be rectified.”
Butt has always been a spontaneous actor with great talent and has the innate art of entertaining people. Let's see if LSA rectifies the error and if other actors, directors or producers (who have been sidelined or nominated in wrong category) also voice their opinion.
