Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2 releasing this December?

Pakistan's cinema industry was on a winning steak last year with a number of high grossing films like Bin Roye and Wrong Number, and critically acclaimed films such as Moor, Manto, and Shah, elevating the resurrected industry. But the film that arguably changed the face of Pakistani cinema was Jawani Phir Nahi Aani.
JPNA went on to become the highest grossing film in the history of Pakistani cinema, breaking Choorian's record.
And now the makers are back again with JPNA 2!
Humayun Saeed, co-owner of the production house Six Sigma Plus, confirmed that the film will go on floor in December.

Apart from JPNA 2, Six Sigma Plus has two more films in the pipeline - Mein Punjab Nahi Jaongi (MPNJ) and an untitled project being written by Samira Fazal. The script for latter is still work in progress, while MPNJ is all set to begin shooting in July.
MPNJ will see the stunning Iman Ali and the evergreen Humayun Saeed coming together for the first time and that too in a story written by the maestro Khalilur Rehman Qamar.
Since the shoot for JPNA 2 will begin in December, we can't expect it to release early next year and we wonder how our box office will survive till then because as we speak, situation looks bad business-wise as recent releases,Mahe-Mir and Hijrat failed to earn big, Maalik was banned, and there are no solid releases (when we speak of Pakistani films) this Eid.

JPNA 2 has the same cast. The cast remains same as far as the boys are concerned, with Vasay Chaudhry, Humayun Saeed, Ahmed Ali Butt, and Hamza Ali Abbasi.
