GCUF sub-campus students protest non-recognition of degree

SAHIWAL: Around 300 understudies from the Sahiwal sub-grounds of Government College University, Faisalabad, (GCUF) dissented against the administration that they guaranteed neglected to get their BSc Engineering degree perceived by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Punjab.

The understudies blocked Lahore-Multan GT Road at Pakpattan Chowk for two hours and blazed tires. They yelled mottos against the bad habit chancellor and sub-grounds administration.

They said getting a no-protest endorsement from the HEC was not their obligation but rather of the college administration that took a large number of rupees in charges from them.

The understudies, as of now part of the way through their degree, guaranteed they were offered admission to the BSc Engineering program yet now were being told they would get a BTech degree.

They facilitate said the college administration had blackmailed a great many rupees amid the most recent four years and had now let them know the HEC did not perceive the BSc Engineering program.

Nauman Ahmad, an understudy of MPhil Management Science, said their grounds did not have a changeless PhD teacher.

"The whole workforce is going by," he included. He additionally said the HEC had asked the sub-grounds administration to quit taking MPhil classes here and shift the understudies to the primary grounds.

A few understudies said they had whined a few times to resigned Col Hasan Imam, the grounds executive, yet he didn't hear them out. Mr Imam declined to remark on the issue.
