Chief Minister Sindh announces Rs 20 million for SMIU

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shahon Wednesday declared Rs 20 million for Sindh Madressatul IslamUniversity (SMIU).

The Chief Minister made this declaration while talking at closing session of a three-day Sindh Hainan Universities Forum here.

The discussion was gone for setting up coordinated effort between colleges of Pakistan particularly of Sindh and China's Hainan area. This would incorporate the trading of understudies and resources.

The Chief Minister guaranteed all backing to SMIU which is almamater of father of the country Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Communicating his fulfillment he said it was SMIU which was leadingother colleges of Sindh.

He said that credit for overhauling SMI to a college level went to lastPPP government.

He, alongside Sindh Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, saw marking of Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with four colleges of Hainan area.

He was educated by Vice Chancellor of SMIU Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh that fourteen colleges, one each from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, had built up cooperation with Hainan varsities through this gathering over most recent three days. What's more, he included 56 understandings were agreed upon.

He underlined on further fortifying of relationship amongst Sindh and China particularly through individuals to individuals contacts.

He related his administration s endeavors for advancement of educationover most recent eight years which included setting up of 10 open sectoruniversities in the area.

Sindh Chief Minister was of perspective that previous Prime Minister and organizer of Pakistan People's Party Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto offered support to Sino-Pak relationship.

He asserted that PPP had constantly given top need to China while setting up remote relations and joint effort.
