Fata teachers boycott enrolment drive

LANDI KOTAL: The enrollment drive propelled by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa senator under his Education Emergency Plan in Fata has gotten a noteworthy misfortune as instructors from over the area have reported to blacklist the drive to press the administration to redesign them.

Conversing with Dawn, All-Fata Teachers Association president Khan Malik said instructors in all the administration schools in Fata would blacklist their classes to dissent the administration's inability to recognize its dedication of executing the abundantly anticipated strategy of educators' upgradation.

He said in the second period of their dissent, every one of the schools would be shut on April 20 while instructors would continue to Islamabad for an inconclusive challenge sit-in.

"We had canceled our challenge in Islamabad in December a year ago in the wake of getting a certification by authorities of the service of Safron, Fata secretariat and parliamentarians of tribal territories that the upgradation strategy would be actualized in a month," he said.

Khan Malik demanded that the enlistment drive would come up short unless the tribal instructors were respected with their due legitimate rights. He said more than 5,000 male and female educators were anticipating their upgradation.

KP representative had on April 8 propelled the drive to enlist 400,000 tribal youngsters in government schools crosswise over Fata under the three years Education Emergency Plan. The objective for the present year was set at 150,000.
