Ombudsman has taken a decision on In-service Death of Employees and their children service under Rule 17-A. Ombudsman Punjab has decided that children of employees who died during service can not be appointed on contract basis. He said that it is Government duty to provide permanent service
to the employees children who died in-service. It is necessary to provide a permanent platform for those children. So there is no right to appoint them on contract basis. They should be appointed on regular basis.
