The man behind the Bahria Town schemes, Malik Riaz is all set to enter Pakistani media Industry by launching multiple TV Channels.
The 66-year-old property tycoon, while speaking to Reuters in an interview earlier this month, revealed that he will be launching a media empire of his own. The reason behind the launch is to protect his commercial interests as well as his personal reputation.
He said;
“To stop blackmailers, I have decided that there is no way but to go into media. I will launch many TV channels, not one.”
According to reports, initially, the network will be launched with 4 channels covering major genres: News, Entertainment, Sports and Property. Each channel will focus on providing high-quality content that will not only keep the audience entertained and informed but provide a boost to aspiring media professionals.
This major injection of the investment is expected to positively boost the overall industry standards. 
Malik Riaz’s Bahria Town project is the biggest project of Pakistan. The Town itself is claimed to be bigger than Islamabad (the capital of Pakistan) that encompasses more than 40,000 acres of developed land; the project employs 60,000 personnel.
Malik Riaz has always been in the news for the ongoing business investigations of his practices by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). He also possessed the rights and licence ownership of BOL TV till 2013, before selling it to Axact.
The Chairman of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz is amongst the richest Pakistani businessmen. His entry in the entertainment and media industry is being termed as a major game changer.
