Subject. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FAIR CONDUCT OF PEC EXAMINATION
Conduct of PEC Examination is being systematically monitored through a multi layered monitoring mechanism. The credibility of exam is directly linked to its fair and transparent conduct Analysis of the monitoring reports shows weaknesses in the conduct of exam in some areas which is a cause of great concern and needs to be addressed on urgent basis Some of the critical Instructions are being reiterated to preempt any possibility of malpractice at any levelUse of Mobile phone is strictly prohibited in exam centre premises. Presence/Use of Mobile phone (any mode: switched off; Went, within premises of examination centers before, during and till final dispatch of exam material. shall be construed an abetment in cheating on behalf of examination staff This restriction is not only for the supervisory/ invigilator staff but is also applicable on other staff of school and outsiders who happen to be in school premises at that time Only Headmaster/Principal of the school can retain mobile Phone far communication.
All other mobile phones must be collect. and retained by the concern headmaster. In case of violation, action would not only be maim. against the official from whose person mobile is detected but also against the supervisory staff including EDO (Education), CTSC head and Resident Inspector.
All unused papers must be cancelled and stamped "BLANK" Properly mark., sealed envelopes of unused sheets should be delivered to the concern. CTSC on the same day immediately after the exam On each envelope, the number of unused sheets along with the name of the examination centre and CTSC should be clearly written and sign. by the Superintendent and RI. The Heads of CTSC shall consolidate all unused question papers and deposit it in the office of the EDO (Education, on the same day EDO (Education) shall finally send all unused/blank papers back to Punjab Examination Commission after the end of examination It is pertinent to state that ”BLANK" Stamps were required at each Examination Center as part of 'Administrative Charges' which shall be paid by PEC to each CTSC/ECC.
Exam papers must be carefully resealed by stitching the cloth bag Details such as total number of Exam papers (matching the number of students appeared, must be written boldly on the back side of cloth bag The details must be signed by the Superintendent and Resident Inspector of the Examination Center.
The instructions state above must be followed and implement in true letter and spirit Any deviation from these instructions would constitute material evidence against the concerned officials in a, disciplinary proceeding initiated with reference to misconduct in exam.
