Mr Zuckerberg and Ms Chan also announced they will donate 99% of their Facebook stock – nearly $45 billion – in their lifetimes.
In a post at Facebook, Zuckerberg said: “Priscilla and I are so happy to welcome our daughter Max into this world,” adding sharing a letter he and wife Priscilla wrote to newly born Max.
The founder of world’s largest social media network Facebook pledged to work towards making world a better place and take measurements for curing deadly diseases on earth in the letter.
Zuckerberg also thanked all of his fans and supporters who became a source of strength to the couple during pregnancy.
