- 12 Pacific Rim countries sign Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement on 05th October 2015. The countries are Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei, Darussaleam, Japan, Canada, USA, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Australia and New Zealand. The agreement will cover 36% of the global economic output.

Nayantara Sahgal will return her Sahitya Akademi Award
