The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar (BISEP) started working as an independent body in 1961. The first time organization of matric and intermediate exams was made in 1962 and so far a great number of participants have been awarded with degrees, prizes and awards. The board has authority over various areas of the region and these regions are Peshawar, Charsadda, Chitral, Khyber Agencies and Mohmand.
