Abrar ul Haq gears up for Bollywood debut

After Ali Zafar, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan & Atif Aslam, another Pakistani crooner is set to cross the border.

Billo De Ghar singer Abrar ul Haq has finally put all his political and social activities on a hold to move ahead in his singing career. He has recently been approached by a Bollywood Punjabi filmmaker to sing a song or two for his upcoming flick ‘Ishq Mera Religion’, reported Daily Times.
Pakistan’s distinguished lyricist S M Sadiq, who has a credit of writing poetry for over 45,000 songs for national and international movies, has contacted Haq to sing for his composition in Indian movie. He has even uploaded a couple of pictures taken in studio with him.
According to Sadiq, Haq is one of the best folk singers in the region:
“The reason we have chose Abrar as playback singer is he has the best folk voice in the country. He is popular among listeners of all ages. The two songs that he has recorded are sure to be quite popular among audiences.”

Haq has carved a niche for himself by brilliantly infusing pop elements into traditional Punjabi singing – be it Bay Ja Cycle per, Preeto and Nach Punjaban all of his songs have been chartbusters and make the listener groove every time you play them.
The singer has released six music albums besides several solo numbers. He turned politician as Secretary Foreign Affairs Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf and also runs a non-governmental organization Sahara for Life Trust.
