A number of Federal Directorate of Education to run schools face teacher shortages in technical disciplines. Three decades ago, issues such as electrical wiring, woodwork and metalwork were introduced to some of these institutions.
In the early years of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) rules workshops to 10 schools give a new lifeline to play technical training.
But since no subsequent government has recruited staff for this workshop.
There are nearly two years, "The carpentry teacher in our retired school. After his retirement, we take the workshop and the question is no longer taught in school," a teacher said Islamabad to school model for boys (IMCB) G-7.2.
A teacher at IMCB G-4.7 specifically, the electrical workshop at school was declared closed due to lack of staff. He said that the equipment worth millions of rupees gets dust in schools. "Students are not on the opportunity to develop skills that will help them learn their life in the future," he added.
"The EDF has appointed former special assistant to take care of technical education. But the last person in this event, Muhammad Ali, retired a few years ago, and no one was hired to take his place "said a source in the EDF.
