ISLAMABAD: Religious graphic five schools of thought here has agreed to consider a government proposal to integrate education into their curricula for primary education.
In an effort to streamline education standards in seminaries, representatives of the boards, the trials of madrassas in Barelvi, Shia, Deobandi, Ahle Hadith sect and the Jamaat-i-Islami were members lead to a meeting convened .
The meeting was originally scheduled for Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan of the Minister of the Interior presided, but later was moved to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
During the meeting, the religious affairs minister Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, a pilot project for members of the seminar also provides contemporary education for students of madrassas.
Moreover, with only one day remaining for the end of 2014, the Minister informed the participants that the pilot project will be launched for three years to life - from 2014 to 2017.
The project would be undertaken in 100 seminars across the country, under which a teacher would in any Madressa for a monthly salary of Rs13,000 to topics in modern education began teaching.
It was also agreed that a working group would be established to streamline the Madressa program, so students can easily adapt to routine school if they wanted to visit them.
The working group will be formed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs have representations of religious councils, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The copy of the pilot project proposal was promised distributed among the representatives of the religious councils to respond back after consultation with the respective members.
However, all the scholars were unanimous in opposing the term "integration" of these seminars in the proposal.
"This is not true. We are already in the public and education to more students than modern schools," said Mufti Muneebur Rehman Pakistan Tanzeemul Madaris leading the Barelvi sect.
Qari Hanif Jhalandhri of Wafaqul Madaris Al-Arabia, the Board of Directors of the Deobandis; Qazi Hussain Naqvi Riaz and Abdul Haidri of Wafaqul Madaris al Maulana Zafar Yasin Shiites and the Wafaqul Madaris al Salfia (Ahle Hadith) attended the meeting.
Madrassas Jamaat-i-Islami Rabtatul Council, was represented by Maulana Abdul Rehman Malik and Attaur.
Madrassas Ittehad-i-Deenya Tanzeemat - - mutual concern employment issues every five commissions have formed a collective platform.
Qazi Riaz Hussani Naqvi said an agreement between the government and the madrassas in 2010, which should be carried achieved.
"We do not need to reinvent the wheel and repeat the whole exercise," he said, adding, "The government has been negligent in the implementation of the previous agreement."
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State for Education Engineering Balighur Rehman and officials visited Auqaf departments of four provinces and home departments of Sindh and Balochistan.
