The Prime Minister's Tuition Fund is providing scholarships to the candidates of Pakistan. These scholarships are available for the aspirants of MS, MA, M.Phil, as well as for PhD programs who are registered in various universities of government zone. The Prime Minister of Pakistan is concentrating on some particular aspirants of less developed areas in Pakistan who have desire to chase their higher degrees.Fields of Study
The candidates can select any field of study for their MS, MA, M.Phil or PhD degree programs at the
universities of Pakistan.

Period of Scholarships
Approved study duration permitted under the scheme:
--MA or M.Sc (2 years)
--MBA (3.5 years)
--MS or M.Phil (2 years)
--MS or M.Phil (Medical Universities) minimum 2 years and maximum 3 years
--PhD (Natural Sciences) 5 years
--PhD (Social Sciences and others) 4 years
What Does The Scholarship Covers?
The Prime Minister's Scholarship will cover the following points:
--Complete Tuition Fee (MA, MS or M.Phil and PhD programs)
--On and Off Obligatory charges which comprise of Registration fee, Admission fee, Examination fee, Library charges, Laboratory charges and Research related academic activities.

Scholarship available For Selected Areas
These Scholarships are available for the selected areas of Pakistan which include Baluchistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, FATA, Interior Sindh, South Punjab, Malakand, Kohistan, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Buner, Swat, Shangla, Upper Dir, Lower Dir and Chitral regions of Khyber Pakhtunwa, attock, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar of Punjab.
Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship
To hold the scholarship candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria:
--The students with valid domicile / local certificates of the above mentioned areas enrolled in MS, MA or M.Phil programs in the public sector university located in their respective division or next closest division (only in case of no public sector university in their respective area) are eligible.
--The students with a valid domicile / local certificates of the above mentioned areas registered in PhD program in any public sector university of Pakistan are also eligible.

Application Procedure
During the start of every Financial year, HEC will ask the focal persons of the respective universities to submit the data of currently enrolled students which are going to apply for the scheme. The students will verify their record on HEC website and after verification the cheques will be issued to the universities and they will give provide the cheques to the short listed candidates.
