  • The politician Reshamlal Jangade died on 11th August 2014. He was the member of Parliament of the first Lok Sabha of the country which started in the year 1952 after held the General elections. He was related to Indian National Congress Party.
  •  On 12th August 2014, World Elephant Day organized. This day organized every year to create the awareness about the plightness of Asian and African elephants.
  • The famous Indian sportsperson Ravichandran Ashwin declared No.1 Test All-rounder in Test Cricket. India slipped at 4th position in ICC Test Cricket. South Africa placed at No.1 position.
  • Ravichandran Ashwin became 46th Indian Cricketer who will receive Arjuna Award which was started in the year 1961 who perform their best and achieve the outstanding performance in sports. However, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award will not to be given any sportsperson this year.
  • NASA’s ISEE-3 vintage spacecraft successfully completed the visit to the earth moon system. Originally this spacecraft was launched in the year 1978.
  • The famous Sri Lankan Cricketer namely Kumar Sangakkara break the record of Sir Don Bradman by completing his 10th Double Century. He completed his 10thDouble Century against Pakistan.
  • ‘Securities and Exchange Board of India’ generally known as SEBI issued Know Your Client (KYC) Registration Agency Regulations, 2014. SEBI conferred it by Section 30 of SEBI Act, 1992.
  • Mars Environmental Dynamics Analyzer (MEDA) would be carried in 2020 to measure temperature, measure the speed of wind and also the direction, pressure and wind and humidity of air.
