Applications are invited for Ph.D. studies in various disciplines at the Universities of USA, UK, Germany. France, Australia. Japan, China, and various other countries. Candidates selected for the award of scholarships shall be offered Faculty positions at the UET Main (LHR)/ Kala Shah Kaku (KSK)/ Faisalabad (FS0)/Narowal (NRW) Campuses and Rachna College of Engineering and Technology, Gujranwala (RCET).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. The applicants should be Punjab domiciled.
2. The candidates should have a First Class Master degree in the relevant field of Engineering/ Architecture/PID/CRP and M.Phil degree in other disciplines. However, preference shall be given to those who have teaching experience.
3. The applicants must have passed the NTS/GAT Test. However, for studies in USA, only the GRE test shall be required.
4. After the selection, the final grant of the scholarship shall also be subject to the confirmation of admission of the candidate in a foreign university.
5. The selection shall be made through the interviews conducted by the Selection Board of UET Lahore.
6. The selected candidates shall serve as Lecturer/Assistant Professor at that campus of the UET against which they are selected for Faculty Development Programme.
7. Consequent upon completion of their Ph.D. the candidates will be inducted as Assistant Professors under Tenure Track System, in the same campus of UET Lahore.
8. The candidates shall be required to follow all the codal formalities before leaving for higher studies abroad.
9. Maximum age limit is 35 years relaxable in the case of Government/ Semi-Government employees in exceptional cases.
10. Candidates who are already serving in Government/ Semi-Govcrnmcnt and autonomous bodies should submit their application through proper channel accompanied by NOC from the employer. Advance copy of the application may be sent.
11. Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council/PCATP as Professional Engineer/Town Planer, in case of Engineering/Architecture/CRP disciplines respectively, is mandatory.

Submission of on-line applications:
1. Visit the web-site: jobs.uet.edu.pk.
2. Fill out the relevant fields of online application, upload passport size scanned photograph and save your particulars as per given online instructions.
3. Print the application duly completed in all respect and sign it.
4. Attach bank draft/postal order amounting to Rs. 60/- and other required documents with the printout of application.
5. Submit the complete set of application to Registrar’s Office on or before 22.07.2014.
