Geo Tv License terminated for 15 days by the PEMRA, PEMRA listened the plea of GEO administration and after complete investigation PEMRA found GEO Tv guilty. PEMRA who is responsible for having check and balance for the electronic media and print media in the Pakistan, license districution authority for the Pakistan media industry.
From recent past Geo Tv faced massive criticism from all across Pakistan for two reasons, first they telecasted a defamation interview of Hamid Mir brother and then a shameful act done by the Geo morning show program. PEMRA cancelled the license of Geo network for 15 days and fined 10 million Pakistani rupees, Geo network admistration decided to knock the door of high court for relief on PEMRA punishment.
