Job description
Role Objective:
• Commercial production across all four Primedia stations.
• The creation of on-air production across all stations.
• On-air production for other Primedia brands (Lead SA, EWN News, Crimeline).
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualise and produce on air production:
• Working with clients in studio, the creation and production of professional radio commercials.
• The management and direction of voice-over sessions.
• Other audio production, e.g. show imaging, promos, demos, podcasts, sound to video.
• Responsibility of correct loading of audio onto our play out systems.
Outside broadcasts:
• Occasional controlling of audio mixing at events and outside broadcasts.
Requirements
• Excellent grasp of English.
• Proficient experience in Pro Tools software is essential.
• Two years' minimum experience in a radio production environment.
• Ability to work effectively with different teams across the business (programming, copywriting, web, sales, etc.).
• Ability to work with clients in a production studio (for commercial production).
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and adapt.
• Ability to persuade and give direction.
• The usual basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Advantageous
• Min. Required: Matric
• Diploma/Degree in relevant field would be an advantage
Personal Skills/Attributes
• Results driven and hardworking.
• Innovative and proactive.
• An 'if it's going to be it's up to me' attitude.
