Sherpa is a Cape Town based company that offers total brand strategy, design and business communications solutions for ambitious companies who think big and do bold.
We have a contract position available for an enthusiastic, self-motivated web developer who must be able to do the following (Only candidates that apply with a portfolio will be considered.):
• Convert web designs into functional web pages
• Participate in testing website changes for functional and technical performance
• Updating existing websites
• Sending of bulk mailers
• Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
• Take projects from conceptual right through to completion
• Good understanding and making use of social media platforms and functionalities
Requirements
• Four+ years solid development experience
• Ability to code exceptional responsive HTML5 and CSS3, pure div layouts
• Experience with using Javascript and JQueries
• Building and maintaining PHP and MySQL databases
• Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks
• Building and supporting custom CMSs, modify and maintain online solutions or third party applications
• Good understanding of cross browser compatibility and restrictions
• Social media duties and responsibilities:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
- Designing and Setup of social media pages/groups
- In-depth knowledge of plugins of these platforms
- Integrating social media platforms with other marketing campaigns
