Deloitte Consulting LLP is under contract with USAID to implement USAID’s Trade Project, Primarily based in Islamabad, Pakistan. The goal of the project is to improve the trade environment in Pakistan, expand export, encourage the development of more competitive enterprises and increase employment opportunities. Trade project invites applications for the following Islamabad based positions.
The Trade Project would like to hire the services of a Customs tariff expert to assist it in its working on rationalizing Pakistan customs Tariff (PCT). The work would involve making the PCT simpler. More transparent and in sync with the other regional or emerging countries. This would imply examining all duty-related Statutory Regulatory Orders (SROs) and incorporating them in the PCT it would also require reducing tariff dispersions by decreasing the number of Tarif slabs.
Required Qualification: Master’s degree from any recognized University.
Experience: at least twenty (20) years; experience of dealing with customs issues, and having provided strategic and policy level inputs apply at: jobs-senioradvisor@usaidpakistantrade.org
