State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLIC) is seeking to appoint an Appointed Actuary in terms of provisions of Insurance ordinance 2000 and its Rules.
Responsibilities;
The duties of the Appointed Actuary will be as laid down in the Insurance Ordinance 2000 read with the SECP (Insurance) Rules 2002 and all other Rules and Regulations issued three under from time to time.
Interested persons fulfilling the criteria laid down by SECP in Rule 3 of SECP (Insurance) Rules, 2002 are invited to send their resume along with expected month remuneration in a sealed envelope to the address given below. The resume should preferably include the following information:
· Basic Information such as Full name, Date of birth CNIC No, Contact details etc.
· Date (s) when the applicant became a Fellow of the actuarial body(ies) mentioned in Rule 3 of the SECP (Insurance) Rules, 2002.
· Qualification and Professional Experience.
· A statement showing the applicants present occupation or employment, and occupations and employment during the lst ten years, including the name of the employer, the relevant dates the nature of the business and the titles and duties of the position.
(Note on services to any insurance or takaful organizations (s) of which the applicant is not, or was not, an employee: Suppose the applicant presently provides, or at any time during he last ten years has provided, services to any insurance or takaful organizations (s) the relevant dates, the country where he/she provides or provided these services, whether he/she acts or acted as an Appointed Actuary, and a description of the services).
· If the applicant is at present an Appointed Actuary under the Insurance Ordinance 2000 of a registered insurer (s) other than SLIC, and / or a Consultant or Adviser to any life Insurance or takaful organizations (s) operating in Pakistan other than SLIC, a sufficient disclosure must be make of any conflict of interest that might arise, or might appear to arise, involving the applicant, his/her firm, or the applicant’s or his/her firm clients, and SLIC, in the event that the applicant becomes SLIC’s Appointed Actuary.
