| Job Title: Head of Offshore Product Development Job Location: Karachi Salary Range: Depends upon experience, qualification and interview performance Job Type: Permanent – Full time Education: Computer Science or Engineering plus MBA Career Level: Executive (SVP, VP, Department Head, etc) Required Experience: •20+ years of software development experience including 5+ years managing staff and 10+ years hands-on development experience using one or more of Java, C, C++, C#, and SQL Required Skills: Java, Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Tomcat, IBM Websphere, Web Project Management Job Responsibilities: •20+ years of software development experience including 5+ years managing staff and 10+ years hands-on development experience using one or more of Java, C, C++, C#, and SQL •Proven track record of pro-actively leading and growing offshore development teams •Experience developing large-scale applications •Experience designing and testing systems with large data throughput and capacity needs •Knowledge of Tomcat or WebSphere application servers •Experience with HTML, JSP, and Perl •Experience in both Linux and Windows environments deploying Java systems •Four-year Computer Science degree or equivalent •Desirable to have an MBA in a business discipline •Comprehensive yet concise communication skills in fluent English •Ability to make tough decisions that set the best long-term direction •Proven ability to work directly with US-based product and technology leaders •Ability to handle most day-to-day issues locally with little direct intervention from US office Who should Apply: •High-profile experienced people, which have 20+ years of software development experience including 5+ years managing staff and 10+ years hands-on development experience using one or more of Java, C, C++, C#, and SQL. •A person who is drawing more than 130k and should be holding a similar position may apply. | |
